Take a proactive approach to incidents within the factory, supporting investigations, providing guidance to resolve highlighted issues and helping prevent recurrence. Support and advise manufacturing operations to ensure products are produced to specification through GMP audits, process audits and effective communication of findings. Support production teams in the management and control of non-conforming product and raw materials identified within the factory. Investigate microbiological issues and customer complaints when required, helping identify causes and support appropriate corrective actions. Attend NPD trials and actively support new product introductions into the factory, ensuring quality and food safety requirements are considered. Verify food safety, legality and quality monitoring equipment at predetermined frequencies and maintain accurate records. • Conduct HACCP validation and verification exercises in line with the site's HACCP plan. • Carry out microbiological and allergen swabbing, collect air and water samples, and undertake other sampling required for investigations and project work. • Conduct shelf-life assessments, accurately record findings and report anomalies for appropriate follow-up. • Contribute to individual and team projects designed to strengthen quality and food safety systems and improve production efficiency. • Work collaboratively with production and other departments to maintain food safety, legality, quality and operational standards.
